Wonjongkam gets alot of criticism for hardly ever fighting outside of his homeland. But, having watched some of his vids, the dude is pretty good. real slick, crafty fighter, definitely world class.
In his most recent loss, now I can understand why the man has a good reason for not wanting to fight outside of his 'hood. They flatout robbed him in Japan against Naito.
For a hot minute there was some serious talks of a Wonjongkam - Arce fight in the U.S. But, I can't blame Pongsaklek for backing out. GBP's final offer was 35k(the negotiations started at a ballpark figure of 100k) and Pong's people just flatout laugh, and they had good reason to. They basically said that Pong makes that much fighting in Thailand.
I seriously think he would've dominated Arce. And I think he could've beaten Darchinyan as well, although something tells me, that Vic could've given him a hard time.
