Why does no-one ever talk about Rocky Marciano?

Myself included... the last white champ pre-Vit, never defeated, dirty fighter... but who really cares?

I think we all suspect he wasn't really that good and that he had hand-picked opponents, don't we? I know I do.

I remember him as one of the few heavyweight champions that defeated every viable contender in his era and retired entirely on his own terms. So many are labeling him overrated that he's beginning to become underrated.

Very much many fight for him were very difficult.
Therefore I think, that to it{him} anybody specially did not select opponents!

Do you think that unconsciously we rate black boxers more?

A racist comment? Maybe, but it's echoing statements made by Ali, Frazier, Lewis and others.

the Rock is underrated because he didn't have dazzling talent like RJJ, in fact he didn't have much talent at all. What he had was superb conditioning - he was never out of shape, and more heart / determination than any other fighter alive or that has ever lived

It is necessary to train simply well!
And to what race at the boxer, seems to me, not important...

At Marciano there were very difficult fights.
It is necessary to recollect his torn nose!
And after that he sends the contender in a knockout.
Marciano has the right to be reputable!
