In defense of Floyd, he has only been at WW for 4 years, in which 2 outta those 4 he was retired, meaning roughly about 2 years at the weight. During that time he had 5 fights:
1.Against the undisputed champ Baldomir (can't hate him for taking that fight),
2 Judah (who was considered top 2-3 WW at the time of the fight)
3.Against Hatton (who was an undfeated, top lb for lb fighter)
While people say he ducks top opposition, I really dont blame him for taking those fights at the time as they made the most sense to take at the time. The only **** fight was against a washed up Mitchell, and shamefully making Marquez come up to 147 instead of making the catchweight like they agreed upon.
With that said, It may be a little unfair to say he has ducked the top WW at this point. Now if he doesnt face Mosley, Williams, Margarito and a few other guys, then you have a point. His legacy will bascially depend upon what happens after Pacquiao. If he goes off and Faces Matthew Hatton and other **** fighters when there are clearly establish names in the division, then yes he is a ducker.
