Won't Pac's "running for office" distract him ?

The fact that the fight may be taking place on Macrh 13 is great news for me. My birthday is on March 14 and I live in South Africa, which means when the fight starts there it will be March 14, 3AM here So I'm fairly excited, but...at the same time I see some negative sides to this. Won't his pilitical affairs interfere with his training? And whether it does or not, won't Pacamaniacs blame his loss(if he loses) on the fact that he was to distracted to really give it his all?
I'm a HUGE Pac fan and like Floyd quite alot too, and if Pac does lose, I want it to be legit. I don't want to have to contemplate his focus...

This is Floyd Mayweather Jr. we're talking about here and possibly one of the biggest fights of all time...and he's running for office, not playing ping pong or signing t-shirts.

Floyd is considered by many to be the best and Floyd's flighting style is unlike any other. I think this "should" be his hardest fight.

Won't Pac's "running for office" distract him ?

Quite the contrary actually, I think the fight taking place on March 13 will make Pac a lot more motivated to win against anyone in the ring. It's his best chance to make his people vote for him, when they're still all happy and singing praises for him, provided he wins.

The reason 2 dates for the fight are floated around is this:

May 1 - the fight happens if Pac runs uncontested for the position, thus making him winner by default. No need to go on a campaign tour, etc and instead use the time to train for the fight.

Unfortunately, somebody decided to run against Pac, which means he will have to try real hard to convince people to vote for him. If you ask most Filipinos, they love Pac, but not in a way that they'd put him into congress. Thus...

March 13 - election campaign period is from March 25 up to May 8. It doesn't matter to Pac who he fights on that date, as long as he gets to fight (and win, of course). He thinks it'll help people remember his name, come election time. Remember, he lost in the previous election for the same position.

I would be much worried if Pac/May happens later in the year and he lost the election. He might not be inclined to dedicate the fight to his countrymen if they let him down on the elections
