I think people, fans, promoters....everybody needs to relax a bit. Why is everybody so antsy for them to fight right away whereas both boxers have commitments on the particular date?

I say by mid or end of the year (2010) wherein both boxers can train for this "ultimate" fight...

Then there would be no alibis.

Both camps accusing (or fans) the other of "ducking" is just lame.

nah in this case Floyd should get some credit for doing what most on here thought he wouldn't

1) work with Arum
2) agreeing to terms
3) being flexible about a date (March or May)

so while Manny could still very well sign this and make all this moot

Floyd is clearly one step in front of Manny in wanting this fight to happen

and yes this fight should happen sooner than later IMO. The sport is at a crest and what better way to expose that than have the two fighters who could pull off arugably the biggest fight the sport has seen in decades fight early 2010?

say they don't and both take interim fights what makes you think the interest in both continues to rise? because Manny fought Yuri and Floyd fought Matthew?

Roach doesn't want this fight in March. The thing that threw a wrench into ALL the plans is that Pac was supposed to run without a challenger for the congressional seat. Even the President was supposed to pull through on that one. Seems like it didn't work out that way and now we are in for some ****.
