I agree with the Ring. I said Bute was the #1 SMW also he has a better resume than Ward at SMW.

It was the most impressive win in a long time at SMW over a top 10 opponent....Ward's win over Kessler was impressive but Bute really out shined him stopping a fighter known for his durability and also displayed excellent boxing skills in addition to power......I didn't look at the Ring rankings yet but Ward should be rated #2 at least.

Yeah but in his last 2 fights he looked blah... While Bute looked amazing. Ward should be #2 cuz he looked better than Froch and beat a better opponent than Froch has done in his last 3 fights.

I agree with the Current 1-3 ranking for this reason.....I like Froch but Kessler was #1 rated and Ward shut him out and really beat him up in their fight.
