    After watching Funeka/Campbell and Funeka/Guzman, Funeka = # 1 Lightweight

Campbell/Funeka was very close, but I felt it was a fight that Funeka won. I am VERY comfortable saying that Funeka would clearly beat Campbell the second time around. It can correctly argued that the Guzman that showed up against Funeka is not the same flashy and quick Guzman that we all know. But stylistically and physically, Funeka's attributes can overcome the type of fighting style Guzman utilizes.

I just don't see JMM being able to get through that jab and being able to effectively reach Funeka's chin. He's already a small lightweight and doesn't have the reach to counter Funeka at full capacity. I really don't see any other lightweight being able to beat Funeka.

JMM is too much for Funeka.

Guzman looked like **** in there. And and old ass Campbell dropped him 2x.

JMM would U.D him or k.o him late.

        Settle down chief.

I think he's the most talented Lightweight. It's possible his chin can let him down against a good puncher. Gives Valero and Marquez a chance. I'd love to see those fights, but they will never happen. That draw really ****ed Funeka over.

Campbell and JMM have different styles. Campbell is more agressive and physical than JMM and may have more power as well. Campbell was able to bully his way into the inside. JMM's best work comes from the outside and I just don't see him countering too effectively over Funeka's jab and then right hand.

If you notice JMM's successful counter's, they have been against wide punches. Funeka's punches are short and straight.

JMM's too good and too smart. Plus the fact that he was able to k.o Diaz and Casa tells me his power is better than Nates since he throws better punches and more accurate punches.

Funeka would give him some **** for a few rounds but JMM would solve him.

The cream rises to the top in that fight.

                That cream, is JMM.

There really needs to be tournaments at these lower weights - 135 especially could benefit from one now.

Funeka, Katsidis, Diaz, Guzman, Valero, Soto. There's a Super Six for the LW division. And forget about Marquez - he ain't fighting any small names at 135 anymore.

funeka looks a really good fighter, he is adept and skilled in the ring and right now i don't think any current LW beats him. his height and reach are his biggest assets but hes also smart and has a good workrate.

imo hes the best LW right now, would love to see him take on some of the bigger names at LW. imo hes earned it.
