through activity.
they throw so many punches that the counterpuncher is still overwhelmed.
generally pressure fighters are tough matchups for defensive fighters.
defensive fighters are bad matchups for power punchers.
power punchers usually beat pressure fighters. -
Make him fight. Don't let him tie you up when you get on the inside. Make him fear getting Counter Punched by countering his counter so to speak. Make him angry. Counter Punching relies heavily on timing, so if you can get in his head psychologically and mess up his timing that will work heavily in your favor.

Stay out of range until you're ready to punch, jab your way in (double triple on accsion to avoid counters), let go of your punches in close. If you want, stay in close smothering his punches or when you're done punching either hold or get out of range (but not straight back).
Remember to feint to throw off his timing.Comment

don't be afraid to clinch once you get off. also throw in a shoulder everytime he initiates a clinch.
when he gets defensive just make sure you make contact. arms , top of the head , shoulder , etc.
a few shots to the hip in clinches (on the opposite of the ref of course , if there is one)Comment
