Mayweather of Japan, KAMEDA, idolizes PACMAN!
During the recent fight of Koki Kameda of Japan for the WBC flyweight championship which he won, TV commentators and even Kameda himself said that he was inspired by the Pacman to continue boxing and win belts in at least 3 different divisions. He already won the title at jr. flyweight before. No Japanese boxer has ever won 3 world titles in different divisions and Kameda indicated that he wants to be the first to do it. He originally wated to retire at the age of 25 years old after snatching the flyweight belt but because of his admiration for Manny and how popular he is now worldwide, he had second thoughts about retiring.
Kameda is best known as a boxer who used to brag ala-Mayweather, but after he won the flyweight belt last Sunday, he seemed to look and talk more polite and reserved. Indeed, Pacman's influence cannot be underestimated even among his fellow boxers, not just Kameda.
