Your favourite rant?

There are many great rants in boxing but I think my all-time favourite has to be Muhammad Ali's explosion after the Rumble in the Jungle. Talking to David Frost he starts off reasonably calmly then gets to his belt "... taken away from me, unfairly..."

All of a sudden he starts bellowing wide-eyed, victorious and pointing to the camera:

"I TOLD YA - I was the real champion!
I TOLD YA - I was the champion of the world!
All o' ya BOW!
All o' mah critics CRAWL!
Boxing Illustrated - all o' you suckas BOW!

You made him a bad George - you made him a hard puncher..."


He goes on for several minutes. I've got it on tape somewhere, I'll have to transfer it...

Oh yeah... You see, if this was an awards ceremony I'd put that in more as good-natured banter rather than "Lennox is a conqueror? No, I'm Alexander!" style lunacy.

Also nominated for your category would be stuff like Robin Reid's good-natured talk after "losing" to Sven Ottke.
