Would Pac or Floyd be cherrypicking if they wanted to fight Sturm?

Well what do you think is this a cherrypick if Pac or Floyd got in in their heads for whatever reason that they wanted to fight Felix Strum for his WBA MW title? Is this a cherrypick? if so explain why?
