I agree that three months is enough to promote it. Hell they don't even need to promote it. Casual fans who know nothing about boxing have been talking about this since the Oscar fight.

3 months plenty of time to promote a fight of this magnitude. They should do it in March. If not they need to do it in May. I'm a Pacquiao fan but I will be very upset if this fight doesn't get done in March or May because of Manny's political agenda.

They don't have three months the fight probably wont be finalized until late january early february. they haven't handled the split or found a definate venue among other issues that must be tackled and you can only promote so much during training. these guys will have about 8-10 weeks to promote and train for this fight. im no promoter but that just doesn't seem like a realistic timetable and would short change this event. from a fan standpoint i'd say the sooner the better though.

The story is Roach said he THINKS Pac can't fight as early as March. Now because of the elections, Pac can't fight in May and HE said he wanted to fight this March so they offered that to Team Mayweather. To quote BIGPOPPAPUMP in this issue on another thread, "Pac is the boss, whatever he wants, he gets." I'll repeat that, what Roach said before DOESN'T matter. Pac has the final words.

Mayweather fought in September and Pac fought this November. WHAT is the REASON Mayweather doesn't want to fight Pac in March? We all know why Pac can't fight and that's because of the f**king elections. We don't need to speculate. We don't know why Mayweather can't fight in March. This is not about the length of time needed to promote the fight. This is one fight that even without promotion could sell the fight. This is how big this fight is. Okay according to what all the top guys said this fight would only happen with two dates in mind for all concern to make the millions of dollars that they want from this fight, Those two dates are either May or september, This fight is tooooo big to happen in March according to HBO, Dan raphael, G.leon and most media outlets.

So it either both fighters take a tune up or wait till september for the fight to happen.

The fight cannot make enough money for it to happen in March, Most of the people who are close to the situation already said this before the news today, This fight need more than 4 months to make/promote, This fight is the super bowl and they want to make it for the right time to maximise this fight.

Man I wish it was that simple but I just don't think it is... even with all this money potential negotiations will be hard because of these two camps not to mention it seems like they've got nothing done from the press... I actually would have to respectfully disagree with you on a march date rather than september making more money because from wat i've seen promoting makes a big difference and 3 months doesn't seem like an accurate assessment of the time there working with. Its not smart to shovel out money for an event thats not even finalized yet.
