Who wins between Juan Manuel Marquez -vs- Ali Funeka at 135? As JMM returns from his brief stint at the Welterweight division, where's he supposed to go? General consensus around here is that 140lbs is too deep and a bit too big for him. 135lbs could prove troubling as well. Can he get past the tall, active, rangy Funeka? IMO he better really hope Hatton makes the mistake of returning to fight him.

idk man... this is actually a tough fight to pick especially if funeka can take marquez punch... Idk Im a Marquez fan but ima keep neutral cuz Funeka is just a freak to be that big at 135.....

Great fight to be made but one thing is definitely apparent, Marquez has amazing accuracy , and Funeka leaves himself open quite a bt and gets tagged pretty bad.

It's almost impossible to imagine Funeka winning a decision. I think Funeka would manage to use distance and really limit the amount of times JMM landed flush on him. I do think Funeka's cross is pretty nasty. JMM is prone to those flash KDs if hit properly. This would be a really cool fight. However odds are we'll never know. If I'm JMM this is a real bad risk/reward ratio at this point in JMM's career.

This is a tough one. JMM is a warrior but is prone to getting tagged alot at this point in his career. Marquez was stunned by pillow fisted Diaz so it's hard to imagine that Funeka couldn't hurt him if he wanted to.

I don't think Funeka's workrate is too much for JMM but I do think JMM's bodywork would really bother Funeka.

I like Marquez but that's only because I question Funeka's toughness and his awkwardness makes him hard to pin down.
