I am a fan of the sport. I was just trying to make a discussion other than MAYWEATHER and PACQUIAO Threads. Aint threads suppose to be debates. And i see your points. But Vargas Never had a PRIME. He was DESTROYed before he could get to his Prime. He got Lucky with that Win over Winky and since then he lost to every GOOD/GREAT fighter he faced. Trinidad/De La HOya/Mosley/ and even the Great Mayorga lol.
They both lost to the same fighters but Mayorga was a beast at 147 and if Spinks wouldn't have fought him, *BAD UGLY BORING HOLDING* fight. Then i think he could have made BIGGER noise. Imagine Mayorga vs. Judah back then. Would have been a pretty good fight.

Vargas was a hell of a fighter, lets not forget he has wins over Wink and Ike plus he gave a rampaging peak Tito a good test.

Mayorga was a straight up Beast at 147 and under rated, he wasnt the same up in weight tho, just a tough guy with huge balls! Their fight means very little. Top scrap tho!
