Yes they do but the line between protecting your hand and forming a cast with the wrap is a thin line. Does anyone know from firsthand how much of an effect a wrap like his actually has compared to a "normal" wrap.

It has in no way been confirmed that Tito cheated and it was supposedly his right hand that was wrapped wrong. The Hopkins camp have now all confirmed that it was just a mind game. Even the NYSAC made Trinidad Sr. demonstrate how he wraps Tito's hands and they said nothing was wrong with it. Even on the night of the fight the commission said they saw nothing wrong with the wrapping but the Hopkins camp demanded that they rewrap.

I will say this much, during the vargas fight, I do think that the low blows had a big effect on vargas, maybe the 12th round would have been diff

Joppy could beat him, even with wrapped hands. He just fought a ******ed fight and decided to stand toe to toe with the slugger. He figured he was going to make short work of him, and he got caught. He even said he was out after the 2nd landed punch. Perhaps his chances are minimal now, being old and washed up. I GAURUNTEE, he would make the fight closer than Vargas, Reid, or many of the others would.

And while we are on the subject of excuses:

Tito did wrap his hands against William.

William had 2 warrants out for his arrest during the Hopkins fight. He was wanted for supposedly kidnapping a man: Breaking his jaw, and throwing him in the back of a truck--in order to rob him. Police warned him, that he would be arrested immediately after the fight, and that affected his gameplan for sure.

He had a torn deltoid, and was dehydrated in the Taylor fight. He was taking supplements that affected his stamina as well.

Excuses, Excuses. Whatever. All are legitimate.

i say vargas woulda tko'd tito via ref stoppage if it werent for the low blow, vargas was all over him in the 4th after the knockdown and i dont think he woulda let up. cheato trinidaddy's boy will retire after winky beats em
