  • Andre Ward-Jermain Taylor Shouldn't Happen Says Warren

Promoter Frank Warren is one of the many who feels that Jermain Taylor should not fight Andre Ward in the next stage of the Super Six super middleweight tournament. Taylor, who lost four of his last five fights, including three by knockout, is set to face Ward early next year. Ward just dominated and battered number-one seed Mikkel Kessler to win the WBA title. Taylor was knocked silly in his last bout with Arthur Abraham and most feel that his movement and sharp, quick punching will be way too much for Taylor to deal with. [details]

Hope it doesn't happen...Jermain needs to fight a real weak contender first if he wants to keep fighting IMO...

jermain is a live underdog in this fight the way their styles match up. if jermain beats him it would be greatly deserved, i would love to see the nicest guy in the sport have some success after all this BS hes been going thru.

i always enjoy watching jermain fight so i would be glad to see him in there again as long as he doesnt get beaten up badly, and against ward i dont see that happening. JT is bigger and stronger, i think he will lose but i dont want him to leave the sport on his back so im happy its taking place.

            Shouldn't happen....

Taylor is going to die in the ring or suffer permanent brain damage if he continues fighting! He already hesitates when speaking. This is further evidance that there is no real commision to protect fighters.

ironically,i think taylor would do better against the americans.he is fast just like them an pretty big,and ward nor dirrel are big punchers.taylors main problem is that ever since the hopkins fights,he doesnt really lets his hands go.

**** warren if kessler won and froch lost then froch would be fighting for a world title after a loss thats the brillance of this tourament kessler was **** against ward no where near his beat although ward fought beautifully and now he gets another shot at a world it makes things so interesting

JT entered this tournament to see if he could be the best super middleweight in the world, or at least find out.
But i think he already knows the answer now, that he probably is not, so is it worth him continuing? And for what reason would he continue?
                  I cant think of any!

this is why this tourny is good. you can lose your belt and get it right back from a different fighter who beat the guy you lost it to. taylor and kessler are not out of it. tatlor may lose to ward but kessler will be the next wbc champ. after abraham beats dirrell the real fight is ward vs abraham.
