      - goney gay would have never ever ever fought baldy, but he saw baldy with a a belt now and baldy had 9 losses so he thought why not take the fite. yet one of the excuses he uses not to fite sugar shane is because he 5 losses. GTFO here.

-he fought ricky hatton who was not a welterweight and had him come up in weight

-i do give him credit for fiting oscar though at 154. even though i still believe a prime oscar would of murderded gayweather

Fail. The Zab contract was signed before Zab fought Carlos. Obviously just a hater.

The word "ducker" is a strong word. Any fighter would take easy and less dangerous fights if he could and still get paid.

from what i have gathered the reason people think mayweather ducks is because he ducked the welterweights.

mayweather fought in the welter weight division for 2 years before retiring. november 2005-december 2007.

in those 2 years he fought and beat the following fighters:
          Zab Judah
          Carlos Manuel Baldomir
Oscar De La Hoya- WBC JR MIDDLE WEIGHT CHAMPION
          Ricky Hatton

after being out of the ring for 2 years, mayweather decides to take a big money tune up against Juan Manuel Marquez and take off some rust while in the process, who can blame him? why did pacquiao fight morales right after he got dominated by zahir raheem? answer: morales was worth more money and was the easier fight.

no one knows what mayweather will do from here on now that he took a tune up after 2 years off.

so for my final point, i want some one to answer me this:

is this 2 year welterweight record really that bad for some of you to call him "duckweather"?

          Zab Judah
          Carlos Manuel Baldomir
          Oscar De La Hoya
          Ricky Hatton
No it is not all that bad. It also makes all the sense in the world from a business perspective. While I would have loved to see him fight Cotto before his "retirement" it wasnt meant to be, bottom line is that record isnt all that bad......no one hated on those fights until he retired, which goes to show they are just cherry picking haters.

Just a question, just for an opinion.

Lets say you hop in the ring after a couple fellow fighters say they want to fight you. You beat the **** out of your opponent so bad that they back away and say they are not ready. So they in fact duck you. You move up in weight and one follows you. He says now he is ready. What would you do? No wrong answer, just a question to recieve an opinion.
