I wonder how much it would cost Funeka's camp to petition the IBF about the scoring? Hopefully the IBF does the right thing here.

Guzman might win the rematch, but there is no way you could give him a draw in this fight. He won the first 2 rounds, maybe round 4 and maybe round 7, and that was it.

What can they do though? He's ranked #1 and he drew with the #2 guy.... so he's still going to be fighting for the vacant belt in his next fight.

I suppose they could move Guzman DOWN in the rankings based on how he performed in the fight and give Funeka a fight against the next highest ranked contender.

PEOPLE! Listen, a lot of you want to be unbiased and for the most part you are but not 100%. Ok, I am a Guzman fan and I won't hide it---HE LOST---there is no arguing that, period!
Now, was Guzman bad? NOPE! Before you start jumping on me read what I'm about to write next. If you look at the first two rounds he won those rounds by a landslide and Funeka could not touch him (if you don't agree with that you were not watching the same fight). In other words in the first two rounds he made Funeka look average.
Now, this is what I think what happened. I think Guzman got a little to confident and comfortable after the first 2 roudns. That's when he got a little too aggressive and BOOM!! Funeka lands a bomb and broke his nose. After he got hurt like that with all the blood coming down constantly it changed everything (at that point you could tell that Guzman was no longer the same. I suspect he was afraid he would get hit on the nose again. I couldn't imagine what it's like to get hit on a broken nose...that's got to be painful. No doubt about that!
So, there is my take on what happened with that fight. I strongly believe that if they fight again Guzman wins UNLESS he gets another broken nose in the first couple of rounds. Believe that!
Oh, and one more thing....Guzman was rusty after all. Had not fought in a while.

                  1) if guzman was afraid of getting hit on the nose then maybe he should've moved his head and shouldn't have ate so many jabs

                  2) if guzman is so scared of getting hit on the nose, maybe he should look for a new profession.

                  3) guzman can't beat funeka. Guzman can't keep up the same pace he did in rounds 1 & 2. That's how guzman always does. He is brave for 2 rounds then goes into defensive mode. Thing is, his defense is vulnerable to tall boxers who know how to use their reach.

That's how he always does? Dude, Guzman never tires in a fight like he did last night. Getting hit on the nose is one thing but getting hit on top of broken nose is another one. You must not know how hard it is to breath when you have blood gushing out of your nose every second. Wow...it's unbelievable! If he dances and doesn't stay in front of fighters you guys criticize him....if he stands and takes it like a man you guys criticize him as well. He can't win. I will atleast give him credit for sticking it out.
Again, I've never seen Guzman that tired before.

Or, it just took Funeka a few rounds to find his range. Once he dialed in that jab, it was heavy weather ahead for Joan.

Why are you so reluctant to give Funeka any credit? You make it seem as though Ali had nothing to do with it, and he only did well because "Joan got confident". Thats an insult to the great effort put up by Ali. He kicked Joan's ass, plain and simple.
