The Kameda Brothers get more than half the country to watch their fights.

They have made Boxing really huge in Japan.

And the more talented and younger brother is coming, Tomoki "El Mexicanito" Kameda

The Kamedas are not really that liked in Japan. Their dirty styles (and their lack of manners) rub most Japanese the wrong way.

People still tune in to watch, and they will root for a Japanese over a non-Japanese any day (i.e. in the case of Daiki's last fight against the Thai champion), but it's pretty safe to say that the majority of viewers were pulling for Naito today.

Kameda has fought 2 of his previous 4 fights in Mexico. Japanese fighters earn much more money in Japan than they could fighting abroad.

            Reported for racism.

              So they're the Japanese Mayweather?

If the Kameda's aren't how they are, they wouldn't be as popular amog the general pop.

                It's not exactly like that.

For one thing, the Japanese are quite proud of their athletes.

Like I said, they will root for a Japanese over a non-Japanese any day of the week.

There is of course the old antage that people will pay hoping to see a guy lose.

Nonetheless, the Kameda's tactics really tend to piss off Japanese sports fans from what I can tell.

I watched the fight at a ramen joint, and there was plenty of bitching about Kameda's tactics.

                Just some observations.
