So can we all agree Guzman is an overrated dud.

He doesn't have it anymore, IMO. He's 33- very old for a small guy. And he's been fighting for more than a decade. It showed tonight. He had a chance to really be great, but I feel that he wasted too much time. Sometimes you show up in the ring and you just don't have that special quality anymore.
he still showed me a lot of hand speed and good movement. some people can bring power up in weight with them and some cant. he needs the power in his game to match his style in order to be world class. i think he could still do that at featherweight.Comment

You guys are overreacting. You saw an extremely inactive fighter return to top-level competition. He struggled.
Let's wait to see how Guzman looks in his next bout.
The same people saying Gooz is over were some of the same people calling Bute a b!tch after the first Andrade bout.Comment

He showed some of the speed, true.. But his shots looked so bad. Part of the reason why he couldn't hurt Funeka is because of how wide and looping everything was. Funeka saw everything coming. Guzman always got a little wild, but he also had precision shots mixed in there. I didn't see it tonight. Even though he lost, I still have a feeling that he could mess up a lot of fighters. But I don't see him being able to move back down.Comment

That's true. Plus if you keep going up in weight and don't train like Pacquiao, you're going to hit your limit. Many people don't seem to realize that Guzman had proven absolutely nothing at 135.Comment

People seem to forget three major drawbacks to this fight for Guzman.
1. Funeka is a HUGE, awkward Lightweight to come back from a long layoff to fight.
2. Guzman was having a solid time until his nose got busted up from a headbutt.
3. Even with the two previous things, he never quit and kept trying.
TS claims he ran? Where? When he moved his head? Head movement counts as running, now?
