A very close source has told me that mayweather vs pacquiao is a done deal, and that mayweather will get 55% while pacquiao will get 45%. Bob arum will give pacquiao 5% of his 27% earnings. Dont ask me for a link because there is not one. This is a very reliable source so trust when i say. My source also tells me that the fight will be at 147lbs no catch weight. It wont be announced until after the holidays maybe after new years. Will keep you posted.

Yep, you are punchdrunk. Mayweather/arum won't make it that easy. They'll be arguments on weights, money, etc. If you are right, i apologize.

Im not saying its fully legit but what he says make sense. Floyd is in no way fighting Pac for 50/50. There isnt even any use of debating it. Thats why Roach came out quickly to say 50/50 after they were saying 60/40 for so long.

This is true. Since the very beginning Freddie and Arum were quoted as stating that Floyd must be dreaming about the higher cut of the deal.

Now it's down to "50/50 or we walk away".

But regardless who gets more, they'll both make even more on the backend
with the extras.

If they're taking into consideration PPV revenues with common opponents, then it stands to reason that Floyd has Manny beat in that department.

All we know is that the fight will thankfully get made. And barring any unforeseen challenges, if it does end up being 55% for Floyd-45% for Manny, then I think this thread deserves to be bumped to the high heavens when it's all said and done.

also, every fight isnt on PPV so how would Arum & Top Rank make alot of money on guys who dont get PPV fights?

I appreciate the intelligent and sane conversation and debate. Keep in mind that promoters make investments in fighters for big returns later. They typically lose money in a fighters first 15 fights.

To answer your question though Arum still has casino site fees or live gate. He has tv liscecing fees if applicable. They can also sell advertising dollars to their shows. Not all fights are PPV fights as you know and HBO, Showtime and ESPN pay money to the promoters for televising their fights. Arum even does his own PPVs as you know.

There is a reason why Arum and roach seem to be negotiating in the media by saying they would do the fight for 50-50, If you're the guy in charge then you would never concede to 50-50 or even talk to the media about what you're willing accept, That to me shows they knew they wouldnt get 50-50 for this fight.
