Juan Diaz and Nate Campbell, Casamayor and Marquez were already scheduled to fight each other before Pac vs Diaz got signed.

Juan Diaz vs Nate Campbell was like a week or 2 weeks apart from Pac-JMM 2. So in reality Pac could of fought the winner of Diaz-Campbell(which turned out to be Campbell).

Pac could of chose Casamayor instead of Diaz. Pac chose Diaz and I think they fought in August. JMM then followed Pac at 135 and Golden Boy set him up with a fellow Golden Boy fighter in Casamayor.

So you wrong neither Daiz-Campbell or Casamayor-JMM were signed when Pac-Diaz got signed. But, Diaz was his first fight at that weight, it was a title fight. Diaz was undefeated at 135. And, Pac was going to stay at 135. He fights set with Humberto Soto and Valero. But, Oscar came calling so he took that insted.
