That was an absolute disgrace. I feel bad for Funeka. I thought he beat Campbell, but with the two knockdowns, you can make a case the other way. This was just a flat out bull**** robbery. Funeka was so shocked. He had no idea what to say.

Sorry I missed your post...The thing is, I really like Guzman, but I think the reason he couldn't keep his beautiful rhythm after the third round was clearly due to inactivity, which always results in poor timing...but you're right - the nosebleed couldn't help matters (Just ask Isreal Vasquez).Comment

You're the only one of the Dominican posters tonight that is being honest...the other guys are sad their guy lost, but I'm sure if they would watch the fight already knowing Guzman didn't win, they'll come around. I also don't agree with some of these haters calling Guzman garbage. He's a bad dude who needs to be ACTIVE to make his style fire on all cylinders. Props to Kevin Jesus for being real.
Anyway, I knew he would be a little rusty so I was not surprised at how things turned out.
Now, I'll say this though...if they have a rematch I'll definitely give the edge to Guzman cuz I very much doubt that the same scenario will come about.
And for all of you who call Guzman garbage you'll plain HATERS..and nothing more. That's all there is to it....get a life and be honest...I have no problem saying that Funeka got robbed but I can say that Guzman showed a total different side to him tonight..he came to fight....no running tonight homies!
What are you all going to say now about him? Before it was him being a runner...now what? I'm sure ya'll find some other **** to say....nothing but haters!Comment

Hey, I'm one of those Guzman fans that know that he lost! He clearly won the first 2 rounds and in the third when his nose got busted everything changed and I can't lie...he lost! Now, I have respect for him cuz he didn't quit but I have one question though...why the F**K did he keep looking over to his corner for???

That was a bit surprising. Funeka just dominated a very talented, tough fighter with a jab and right hand. It's kind of sick that a lightweight title fight was just won by a 6 foot, 152 pound fighter, but that's a different story altogether.
This fight goes to show that even undefeated, rather dominant fighters can be humbled if they fight the best and take on real challenges. There is almost always someone out there bigger and badder than you are. Guzman just found that out the hard way.
I gotta give Funeka some love though. The guy has a great jab, good stamina and a lot more skill than he gets credit for. Too bad he got robbed tonight. I thought the Campbell fight was close enough to reasonably see the fight for Campbell, but this decision was awful, plain and simple.Comment
