That's just an escape clause to discredit Khan in case he wins. Marquez isn't shot. Before Mayweather, he had beaten Casamayor and Diaz. Shot fighters don't beat boxers of that calibre. And it's not as if Mayweather put a beating on Marquez. He took more punishment in the Diaz fight.

This is a great fight for Khan. Even though Marquez would be the favourite against Khan and is still a force, he isn't what he once was, and is approaching the end of his career. A good win for Khan would elevate him towards super fights with boxings elite.

But we are all forgetting one thing...Khan has to beat a tough opponent next Saturday night before a fight with one of boxings best can be made. Salita is a good boxer with decent speed and power. Khan will have his hands full.

If Khan wants to fight in the USA so bad there are plenty of other fighters, from Bradley, Campbell...or what happened to a fight with Madriana? Freddie couldn't figure out how to put JMM away with his best fighter, heavily doubt that Khan could beat him unless JMM is shot. Khan is one of those guys you hear so much of and when you see him he is no where near the hype they have created for him. Good fighter but nothing special, only time and wins will tell, not talk
