Was watching Mayweather-Corrales a few days ago and saw that Alex Ariza was in Diego's camp.

Does that mean Roger 1, Ariza 0.

If you see no skill in Pacquiao then you're ruining the thread.

How can you say that when over the last 5 years we've seen a one dimensional fighter evolve in the greatest (argueable) fighter today. His defence has increased ten fold and hes not longer one handed.

He fights in a completely different way to the Barrera/Morales fights he spins fighters so they can't land effectively. There is obvious skill there, surely you can see it.

When I see two fighters who are apparently so evenly matched in terms of size and physical attributes (chin, stamina, etc), I tend to go with the smarter fighter.

I just think Floyd is the more well-schooled fighter. And he has a higher IQ.

...I fully expect Team Pinoy to disagree. No worries. We're all good.

Greatness is a concept heavily dependent on a person's perspective and biases.
“The greatness of art is not to find what is common but what is unique”

This is why Fighters like Floyd Mayweather jr.and Manny Pacquiao are so highly Regarded.Because both of them bring something so unique too boxing, that being called simply great, is not justice enough.

They need to be "The Greatness" by their fans, "All time Great" by their admirers, and Once in a lifetime fighter by all most everybody.

Their styles are trademarked, their habits are noticeable, and greatness is only questioned by the ignorant.

They both are fighters, they fight. They Train, They sweat, and They bleed.
But the key difference in both Fighters is the instructions they recieve as they pepared for battle.

What insight does their trainers have that allows them to succeed with training a fighter such as a Manny Pacquiao and a Floyd Mayweather jr?
                  • How did they learn what they teach?
                  • How do they understand what they see?
                  • What is their boxing Point of View?

Freddie Roach Looks for Habbits, Roger Mayweathers Looks for Skill.
                  WHY IS THAT?

                  Who's Boxing Philosophy matters most?

Freddie ROACH vs. Roger MAYWEATHER has already happen.
With Roger coming out on top.
But in 2010, for the sake of boxing it will happen again.

What will be the Philosophy they teach to their fighters and will it work?

Freddie Roach hall of fame trainer > Roger not hall of fame trainer.

Freddie Roach 3x trainer of the year > Roger has zero.

Freddie Roach has trained 20 plus world champions > Roger has one.

Freddie Roach just trained Amir khan to a title > Roger trains fighters who get kissed in a boxing match

                  & finally, Freddie Roach is revered by his fightes > Roger tries to choke his fighters to death;

                  In conclusion;

Great boxing trainer Roach > Great Pad man Roger.

Hes light years faster then hatton..Cotto..Oscar and Diaz.......

He looks like an alien from another world....there is no real gameplan....or strategy...

Pacs fast and powerful and never gets tired which is how he wins.

Floyd on the other hand is also fast but he uses SKILL to beat his opponents...

If Floyd wanted to he could go out and swing for the fences too but he gets no kick out of that because hes a throwbac..he likes the mental part of the game....

He likes taking a fighters best punch from them...

He likes making people miss inches away from him...

                    He likes discouraging fighters....

To him thats a knock out...when your looking at him souless getting punched in the face and you know there is nothing you can do it about it.

                    Thats the diffrence.

One fighter is skilled....the other is athletic.

When Pac gets slow and his punches start to lose steam hell be getting his ass beat all over the ring....

When Floyd slows down hell still have great counttering abilty...great defense, a great startegy and would be able to still win using just that like Hopkins.

Pac is like Roy Jones.....PURE ATHLETE.

Floyd is Pernell Whitaker...PURE SKILL....and ATHLETE
that was one of the best comments i ever read on this website

Yeah, Roach's instructions: "keep the fight in the middle of the ring, stay off the ropes"
Roger's instructions: "He ain't ****, hit that muther ****er!!"
I see your point, now...Roger wins in the profanity department
