Majority of boxing fans hate him and watch his fights just to see someone spank his ass. Once he lost he will go down in spiral and fades to nothingness unless he starts fighting someone now that has a chance of betting him.
Oscar's biggest PPV he ever did was with none other then Money Mayweather. The same goes for Hatton, Marquez, Judah, Baldomir and the list goes on.

If Mayweather isnt the biggest draw in boxing then lets compare him to Pacquiao who's the 2nd biggest. Their 3 common opponents (who they both happened to fight recently) are Oscar, Hatton, and Marquez. Mayweather drew in more numbers then Pacquiao in every single one of those fights by a landslide.

You uneducated fans underestimate the boxing public. The statistics show they find watching a ring general like PBF do his **** in the ring and put on incredible performances at the highest level more exciting then watching 2 decent fighters with heavy hands aimlessly throw bombs at eachother. The numbers are irrefutable.

Wow, if you really believe that one fighter is single handedly keeping boxing alive, you're ****ing delusional. PBF and Tiger Woods and this ain't golf man. There are plently of great fighters out there, you just hatin because Manny swooped on PBF while he was out and now Manny's a bigger "worldwide" star than PBF could ever be.

            Read this dumb ****,
            http://www.pacquiaovideo.com/2009/11...in-boxing.html

LOL, Oscar has 4 fights in top 12 ppv buys of all time and to say that mayweather was the cause of that buys is blasphemy.

The only time mayweather had the biggest buy was when he faced de la hoya which is number one in ppv buys of all time. It was not because of Mayweather but it was because of De la hoya.

Pacquiao got 2 best buys of all time both in 9th place and if manny's not a biggest draw in boxing why the hell did his bout against cotto reach 1.25 million buys in USA alone. How much more if we consider Asia and some parts of Europe where there are a lot of pinoys.

Stats my ass, next time you post some facts make sure it's true. You just look like mayweather sr.

While he was on hiatus, that gave the UFC room to gain some traction because boxing didnt have any stars capable of filling his shoes. It created this myth that the UFC was taking boxings spot which was swiftly shot down when Mayweather made his return against Marquez. Top Rank and HBO deserve some credit too for using their hype machine to convince people who don't know a lot about the sport that Pacquiao is as good as they claim he is, but clearly Mayweather was the driving force behind boxing making it's comeback.

The timeline of when boxing started "dying" then made it's return fits Mayweathers retirement schedule to a tee. Being the great sportsman that he is, Floyd has never brought it up but the guy deserves credit for almost single handedly putting the spark back into the sport.
The reason he returned is he can't accept the fact that someone is actually bringing boxing back to the mainstream and he wants a piece of the boxing buzz that Manny Pacquiao is creating.

Floyd is a attention-whore and he can't stand someone not named Mayweather Jr taking over boxing. Accept it.

Not because he won the fight does not mean he was the draw. Oscar is the PPV King. Not Mayweather.
