lol! Boxing doesn't need Floyd because of his boring style and avoiding real challenge by cherrypicking his opponents. He should apply in Usain Bolt camp as his assistance.
If Floyd's style is boring then how come he's the PPV king and the biggest cashcow in boxing right now? It says a lot about how entertaining he is as a fighter when you have millions of fans dishing out 60$ of their hard earned money in the middle of a recession to see him every time he fights.

Before the Oscar fight how manny millions his fans dishing out to buy his PPV? The Fact is Oscar populartiy (the real PPV king), Hatton and JMM people without backing their country man he won't get his million buys if he fights against nobody. Majority of boxing fans hate him and watch his fights just to see someone spank his ass. Once he lost he will go down in spiral and fades to nothingness unless he starts fighting someone now that has a chance of betting him.
First off, i'm not one of those people who ever thought boxing was dying. It obviously went through a dark patch for a couple of years and it's no coincidence that it's darkest time in recent memory was the 2 years Mayweather was retired.
While he was on hiatus, that gave the UFC room to gain some traction because boxing didnt have any stars capable of filling his shoes. It created this myth that the UFC was taking boxings spot which was swiftly shot down when Mayweather made his return against Marquez. Top Rank and HBO deserve some credit too for using their hype machine to convince people who don't know a lot about the sport that Pacquiao is as good as they claim he is, but clearly Mayweather was the driving force behind boxing making it's comeback.
The timeline of when boxing started "dying" then made it's return fits Mayweathers retirement schedule to a tee. Being the great sportsman that he is, Floyd has never brought it up but the guy deserves credit for almost single handedly putting the spark back into the sport.
exactly floyd is the sole reason on why boxing is where is at today

Oscar's biggest PPV he ever did was with none other then Money Mayweather. The same goes for Hatton, Marquez, Judah, Baldomir and the list goes on.
If Mayweather isnt the biggest draw in boxing then lets compare him to Pacquiao who's the 2nd biggest. Their 3 common opponents (who they both happened to fight recently) are Oscar, Hatton, and Marquez. Mayweather drew in more numbers then Pacquiao in every single one of those fights by a landslide.
You uneducated fans underestimate the boxing public. The statistics show they find watching a ring general like PBF do his **** in the ring and put on incredible performances at the highest level more exciting then watching 2 decent fighters with heavy hands aimlessly throw bombs at eachother. The numbers are irrefutable.
