Povetkin vs Nolan Appears To Be The Fight For 12/5

A source out of Germany has advised BoxingScene.com Alexander Povetkin (17-0, 12KOs) will likely face Leo Nolan (27-1, 10KOs) on December 5 in Germany. Povetkin's side passed on a possible fight with Owen Beck and didn't reach terms with Cedric Boswell. [details]

LOL nolan hasn't fought since since 10-10-08 and fought only once in '08..looks like atlas set povetkin up with an easy fight compared to fighters like boswell, or even beck would have been a stronger opponent..lol

Well Povetkin is busy that's good. He won't be getting a crack at Klitschko anytime soon, so I want to see him against Tomasz Adamek after this.

Povetkin is being foolish to listen to that moron Atlas.

The light-punching Nolan is similar to Larry Donald and Jason Estrada, although perhaps not as good. Povetkin should be fighting someone tall with a long reach like Michael Grant.

Atlas knows that when a fighter is trying to add new wrinkles to his game it's a good idea to be selective about who they fight.

It's the same reason why Freddie Roach has picked Kotelnik and Salita for Amir Khan.

At least Nolan is better than Beck.

Actually Owen Beck presents a little more of a challenge than Nolan, although neither are very good. Leo is harmlessly feather-fisted, while Beck has average power.
