Whatever the reason, he is the man, he is undefeated, he has accomplished what 99% of other boxers will never do, much less a poster on a boxing forum!!

So what? Boxers are nothing without the fans. We have all the say about who achieved what and who was a fraud, bum whatever. Without the fans boxers are nothing.

no one on this forum has the right to call a professional boxer a bum.

Wrong.....I'm sure if he wanted to fight big names out there he could have done so. I'm also sure his promoter wasn't the one who didn't want him to fight out of Britain, it was his choice.

Calzaghe only became as a known threat after beating an over hyped Lacy..and then an over-hyped Kessler.. and than almost lost to an old man, and then got Knocked down in the first round against a shot RJJ.......and then retired

          Pftttt..what a career

I agree, I'm not saying anything about your opinion per say. I'm a fan, you are not a fan of his, nothing wrong there. Just saying that we, as posters, aren't going to make much of a difference to how they perform or would have performed in the ring when it is all said and done.

It is easy to call them out for being bums but when they accomplish feats that almost no other boxer has done before, I think some credit should be given in some form for that. This is just my opinion though and like I said, I am a big Calz fan so I might be hugging a bit or whatever.

I call Mayweather out whenever I can, not because I dislike him really but because I feel that he could have done so much more than what he has given his skills and his mouth irritates me but a bum he is far from.

You are entitled to your opinion, sorry for the ranting- you are right, the fans do make up the sport though.

undefeated though correct? Most title defenses at super middle weight, correct? Moved up in weight and won the Ring belt at light heavy weight, defended once and then retired...undefeated, correct?

sugar ray leonard has to praise calzaghe cause he knows if a 40 year old version of himself got knocked out by camacho he would be killed by calzaghe's windmills of fury. i'm assuming calzaghe would never fight a prime leonard. of course he would say he wanted to after the fact and whine and complain like a little girl which is ironically how he fights.
