The only one that could spark enough interest is Carl Froch.

All those other names you mentioned, aren't going to be big events at all.

Carl Froch vs Joe Calzaghe would be a big spectacle in Britain would be a big event. But Froch is all tied up as are all the other super 6'ers you mentioned for the next 18 months. By which point Joe Calzaghe would have been out of the ring for 3 years and would be closing in on 40 years-old himself. If somebody like Ward becomes a superstar over the course of the super 6 would he need an ancient and inactive Calzaghe to make his star burn brighter - no.

Fact is, whether you like Joe Calzaghe or not, his timing for retirement was perfect.

What division? LHW? Calzaghe retired when there was Chad Dawson left....who'd just been pummeled round the ring by Glen Johnson. Sure i would have liked to have seen the fight but it was hardly a hot division. Still isnt.

He hasn't fought Glen Johnson, he hasn't fought Chad Dawson, definitley he is. But I doubt we will see him in the ring again.
