I don't think Roach has an agenda. He's just saying the truth.

Even Pac says he's lucky and God gave him the win.

Now what could be worrying floyd is Roach agreeing without hesitation that Pac to fight him, knowing Roach also cherrypicks Pac's opponents.

Btw, he agrees to fight floyd at 147. while he doesn't agree to fight cotto and mosley at 147. funny huh?

different doesnt mean harder.... its just a different style. Yah, someone will really be in a big surprise if this is signed.... pac is full of surprises

Actually, I think he did say that Floyd has slowed down some and that he was better below 147. He also said he is ****ing boring now.

All are actually true and have been discussed many times on these boards so it actually wouldn't just be Roach.

There was also something a while back about him wanting to test Floyd's stamina at this point...with having Manny test it by going at Floyd hard.

It's actually a question I've wondered as well.

Roach understands the game and is pretty spot on with many things.

His point with Mosley I think was that his toughness, aggression, speed, and power, can be a bigger problem for Manny than Mayweather because Shane has the chance to break down and hurt Pac through those attributes as opposed to Floyd who you will have to worry about skill levels with trying to break down his defense.

In other words: Manny just needs the right game-plan to face Floyd while a fight with Shane, if Manny is to win, he is going to have to fight hard physically for that win. Even a past prime Shane can knock you out; Floyd, not so much.

And it's not just Manny he talks about. Ask him a question on anybody and he'll give his opinion.

Not saying he is always right or that I agree with everything he says...but he does come off honest in what he believes...and tends to be proven right more than half the time.

His pointing out things and tactics prior to the fight is actually what gives him credit points for his intelligence. He sees things others may not see prior to the bout. This is what good Generals do.

But yes, there is a level of trash-talking...

no, because floyd is undefeated and is coming off a dominating 12 rounds of JMM and KO of hatton. THere would be no basis for that attack.

Cotto being shot like Roach says means everything because it's been a hot topic in the boxing community and as everyone witnessed Cotto did get his ass beat - brutally.

If Pac-May happens and Pac wins, there will be no excuses and Pac is legit a top 15 ATG hands down.

Then again I don't get the point of downplaying your opponent, even though a lot of boxers do it.Call there mom fat, or something like that. Why make it seem like they are a nobody, when you would get more credit for beating them if they were a somebody.
i think the prob Roach has, goes between his ego...his "IQ" to study fighters and map out a game plan to beat a fighter so he can say "see, look. i was right all along"

but he cherry picks shot fighters with Big names so i can build up his and pacs stock inthe process...but it doesnt work.

one thing Roach cant help to do is be honest. thats his ego. but what he doesnt realize is how he contradicts himself, his talent and ability as a trainer as well as the talent and ability of pac

Roach chosing Diaz,DLH, Hatton andCotto were all, well thought picks for pac.

*******s know this but dont want to admit it...they like believing in the hype. they HOPE pac can beat May. Hope doesnt win fights, skills does

like floyd said...roachs sickness is getting worse and he doesnt have alot of time.

he feels that roach is ready to cash out...thisis the best time for the biggest fight of his life and to make lots of money.

so if that comes with the lose or win for pac, hes willing totakethat chance. i dont thinkit matters much to roach...its prolly about dollars
