Andre Ward is a SLOPPY fighter

WOW @ Anyone who's on this WARD hype train claiming he could beat Chad Dawson......

Ward fights like an amateur still with all of the wild looping punches and coming in with his head. He appears to be more of a head hunter than a boxer. I give him credit for the win vs Kessler but that win was a very ugly win with all of the head butts and clinching.

Chad Dawson is miles beyond this kid Ward in skills and would school Ward if they fought.

BTW...Abraham is still my favorite to win the super 6

the USA is in this tourney

It wasn't an ugly win he clearly outboxed him. Between southpaw and orthodox fighters you're going to get a clash of heads. I don't know what fight you were watching but he didn't just aim for the head he mixed his shots high and low.

The looping shots I'd put down to him knowing he had Kessler beat, I'm guessing he knew he wouldn't/couldn't throw anything back. That being said I wouldn't do that, that's how you end up waking up not knowing what hit you. Graham springs to mind.

he won, yes....but that was an ugly ass win...i didnt see much boxing from Ward,....Calzaghe outboxed Kessler more than Ward did. Ward was able to discourage Kessler early on with his speed and the clinching but he was not impressive style wise.

The looping shots might have been due to his confidence but even then it shows his lack of technical skills as he was very sloppy for the 2nd half of the fight......I wasnt impressed...

he looked more like B Hop than Roy Jones

Dirrell throws better punches than Ward and IMO is the more superior techinical fighter....Ward might have more heart tho

Is this TS saying Ward doesn't punch to the body? He punches way better to the body than you're giving him credit for. That's why I think he's way better than Chad Dawson is. Better inside game, better power, better jab, better body puncher, and better stamina.

Kessler is way over rated...the body punching was good vs a robot like kessler...YES..

no he doesnt have a better jab, or is a more accurate puncher.....

IMO Dawson the bigger, faster, stronger more experienced fighter will whoop Ward

The only good win on Dawson's resume if you really want to get technical about it is Adamek. But just like everybody else said. He outgrew that division big time and Dawson might have lost if it was a fifteen rounder because he fought scared and showed fatigue after he got knocked down.

Dawson hasnt looked great in his last 4 fights because he fought two of the toughest middleweights in the division who arent great to look good against.

I like Ward, but the Kessler win wast impressive and he held too much.....

I need to see Ward in his next fight and Dawson vs a fluffy tune up

I don't really care for Ward's style and I'm not even really a fan of the guy. But I think he's a nightmare for anybody to fight. The guy hasn't lost a fight since he was eight years old and he's our most recent Olympic gold medalist. That counts for something in my book.
