What separates a great fighter from a good fighter is angles.

If you look through the history of the sport between two even fighters, more times than not the guy that wins is going to be the guy giving angles and movement. Sure, we have had some tough sob's that can just keep going forward and eating punches all day but for the most part if you can't create angles you won't beat a guy that has equal amount of skills in other facets of the sport.

It has been said that it's the punches that you don't see that hurt you the most and not only does it seem that way but it kind of validates the angles argument. I was watching Ward/Kessler again and yes the speed is a big difference but the angles were causing Kessler difficulty and he rarely could land flush against a moving target like Ward. You could also look at the Hopkins V Pavlik matchup or even Calzaghe fights. Almost all of the very best fighters in the world have great movement, whether it is Mayweather or Pacquaio they all give you different looks which makes them so deadly yet so difficult to even keep a fight on an even playing field. Agreed?
