Well Pavlik is still the MW champ, still undefeated at that weight. But he doesn't look the same post Hopkins. He doesn't have that grin on his face in there anymore. Williams is obviously serious about staying at MW, or he wouldn't have forced Martinez to fight him there. So Williams/Pavlik will happen eventually, assuming Paul doesn't take Sergio too lightly.

Honestly, I dont get all the Pavlik hate. I never understood it just like I never understood when people were ripping Taylor for not fighting him. At the time Taylor had about a hundred tough fights in a row. He deserved to take a cupcake or 2 if he wanted it. He had already proven that he wasnt scared to fight the best so how could people put that charge on him? Its the same with Pavlik. He had some tought fights before Taylor. Then he fought Taylor twice. Fought Locket and then got abused by Hopkins. He had the Rubio fight but its ok with me if he wanted one more softie as long as he fights Williams next. I said the same about Taylor. As long as he's fighting an elite guy next then Im ok with these guys getting a couple of softies after the run they had, e****aly with Pavlik since he's coming off a bad L not too long ago

Exactly, Zab Judah is living proof of what can happen to your career when you jump back into the fire too quickly. The Hopkins loss was almost worse than being knocked out. He lost every fricken round, was abused and humiliated. Takes more than one fight to get that out of your system.

I dont think Pavlik is afraid of Williams...i think team Pavlik want to maximize their chances at a bigger Pay day in 2010 when HBO has a fresh budget
