ok but why should williams wait til the 19th when HBO wont televise a fight so close towards christmas? yall pavlik fans seem to forget that. So no, guys. williams is 100 percent in the right here. oh and williams never pulled out of the first fight. pavlik went and fought hopkins on an hbo ppv date instead of giving williams a lil more money. williams wanted a il more financial compensation for moving ip straight from welterweight. i guess i am the only one that makes sense on this thread.

Well hold on a second i was just saying the facts as i knew them. I didnt know all of what you just said and if that is true then yes it was a little lame of pavlik to do what he did but can you really blame him? he got an opportunity to fight a living legend in hopkins...and while he did get taken to school by hopkins you cant blame him for wanting to fight the best out there which is what P.Will was and is wanting to do...and ill be the first person on here to admit that i dont always know what im talking about there are many many people on this forum that know more about this sport than i do and i am more than willing to admit if i am wrong because i want to become more knowledgeable in this sport...so thanks for the info

Pavlik is major overrated !! I was waiting for someone who could box and not lay down to fight him and finally the old man Hopkins came around and showed just that. Retire Pavlik so some fans actually remember you in a good way. Continue and everyone will realise youre overrated bigtime !

Pavlik has lost the Spotlight. Hope it was for legit medical reasons otherwise his team is STOOOPID! If Williams/Martinez is a good fight, and it likely will be, there will be an immediate rematch at 154 for the title which will have been made more lucrative than a Pavlik fight would be at that point. Williams and Martinez can sieze all the attention at 154 and 160 with a good fight and demand the biggest purse cause Pavlik has been on the shelf too long.

Williams and Dawson I believe have said that they'd like to join the 168 lb tourney. Pavlik on the other hand has said that they are beating each other up for peanuts. What a throw back warrior Pavlik has become.
