Roy Jones Jr vs Joe Calzaghe, prime for prime. Who would win?
Imo Roy Jones Jr by KO. A totally shot and 40 year old RJJ knocked down and seriously hurt Calzaghe in the first round. A PRIME Roy Jones Jr would have ended it right there.
Im sorry but why does everyone think Joe was in his prime too, he was 36-37 odd years old!! If it was a prime Calzaghe at 27 or 28 it versus a prime RJJ it would be the same result.

Calzaghe's prime was 2006-2008. How else can you explain him never fighting a decent opponent until then?
So are you admitting Calzaghe ducked opponents his entire career until the last 2 years?

I have posted this a few times now, and I wish Joe fans would get it already. It wasn't Roy's age. STOP COMPARING JOE with ROY and saying Joe was "old too". It's such a weak ****ing pathetic cop out ***** move that frankly it's embarrassing.

What the **** are you basing this on. YOu know what Joe Calzaghe DID at that prime age?
I'll tell you what:
FOUGHT-
2001-04-28 167¾ Mario Veit 167 30-0-0
2000-12-16 167¾ Richie Woodhall 167½ 26-2-0
2000-08-12 168 Omar Sheika 167 20-1-0
2000-01-29 167¾ David Starie 167½ 22-1-0

1999-06-05 167½ Rick Thornberry 167 23-2-0
1999-02-13 167 Robin Reid 167¾ 26-1-1
That's what did from around 27-28ish or so. WOW. Prime Roy would be toast I guess.

Exactly. Guys don't waste their primes fighting that list of deadly opponents. His prime was the last 3 years of his career. Otherwise, he would have fought ONE good fighter at some point along the way.
