Inside Camp Paul Williams; sparring with Quintana

    from fight.news........

    By Mike Greenhill

Paul “The Punisher” Williams is hard at work in Team Williams training camp in Arlington, ******ia, as his world middleweight title defense against Argentina’s Sergio Martinez in Atlantic City December 5th fast approaches. “We’re going to have Paul peaking at the right time,” said his trainer George Peterson. Carlos Quintana, who split two bouts with Williams, has been one of the sparring partners in camp. “We brought Carlos in from Puerto Rico because his style is similar to Martinez’s style,” explained Peterson.

To increase his stamina, the team has Williams resting only 30 seconds between sparring rounds. He is also doing 5 miles a day of roadwork. “I’ll be ready,” said Williams.

Team Williams will arrive in Atlantic City on December 2nd.

I'd like to see Williams beat the pretty boy and then chase Pavlik around.

Apparently Pavlik hasn't recovered from his irritable bowel syndrome.

Well, he has for a little while, to fight some Espino dude.

Now do the Rican posters who hate Paul Williams understand why the rubber match is unrealistic? Quintana is on Paul's payroll as a sparring partner.

That knockout was so devastating that Quintana's head turned all the way to the side like his neck had been broken when he hit the canvass with his ass was up in the air. This wasn't luck either. Williams won the last round of the first fight and figured Quintana's style out.
