Quintana Sparring Williams For Martinez... WTF

    By Mike Greenhill

Paul “The Punisher” Williams is hard at work in Team Williams training camp in Arlington, ******ia, as his world middleweight title defense against Argentina’s Sergio Martinez in Atlantic City December 5th fast approaches. “We’re going to have Paul peaking at the right time,” said his trainer George Peterson. Carlos Quintana, who split two bouts with Williams, has been one of the sparring partners in camp. “We brought Carlos in from Puerto Rico because his style is similar to Martinez’s style,” explained Peterson.

To increase his stamina, the team has Williams resting only 30 seconds between sparring rounds. He is also doing 5 miles a day of roadwork. “I’ll be ready,” said Williams.

Team Williams will arrive in Atlantic City on December 2nd. http://www.fight news.com/?p=30714#more-30714

I'd already heard about this. So much for Paul Williams ducking him like the Ricans claimed.

I figure he's given up on the rubber match. And he probably needs some money.

that doesnt make much sense. not claiming Williams is ducking him, but that still doesn't mean he'd give him a rubber match. Especially now that Carlos has gotten some sparring rounds with him.

But atleast we know they're civil with each other.

That's great sparring. Williams should be ready for movement and southpaw angles this time.
