Tarver is a kickass commentator

what did you expect? dude was one of the best **** talkers in the sport. He was quick with his words, never stuttered, never used fillers.

**** talking doesn't necessarily translate into insightful commentating.

Funnily enough, I used to think Lennox was kinda funny during his interviews. I remember Merchant grilling after the Vitali fight, and it was a classic battle between them, Lennox held his own.

But somehow, he's become this thick, illiterate drone when commentating.

Try to watch any of his conferences. you could tell he was eloquent (relatively) and had an above average vocabulary.

Tarver is excellent, but Gus Johnson is awful.

I liked Johnson's commentary in the Froch-Taylor fight, but ever since then he's really ******. He's not very observant, and he doesn't really understand the sport of boxing very well.

Gus is pretty crappy but Tarver? The dude smiles like a used car salesman right before he tells you about the add-ons.

I would also have to tell you i am still pissed he KOed Roy, so that does not help his case.

i was shocked..when i heard that hes gona do comentary i thought that he would just talk about himself and complain and be annoying but i was pleasantly suprised...i hate tarver for many reasons but on commentary hes pretty good

he is up there with jones as best fighter commentator........not surprising....tarver always had a golden tongue...........guy is a great talker......his "crotch" moment is already a classic....
