If anything Manny would be more popular today if he was black based on the fact that Americans would be more easily able to relate to him. He would be less popular in the Philippines obviously. If Pac was still Filipino, but had Floyd's attitude, he would be just as hated.

Why wouldn't he be more popular if he was black? It's ignorance like yours that keeps society blind. It's not the 1960's anymore. We have a black president who won based on popularity alone. Black people excel in almost every field, and how many more black people do see in the media compared to other **********. In case you haven't noticed, black boxers have been praised for decades, and people don't like Floyd because of his attitude. Calzaghe gets a lot of hate and he's white. Hope you read a book, or at least open your eyes.

Every top fighter has some people who hate them, or try to detract from their achievements. For whatever reason. Sometimes certain fans just dislike fighters for beating their favorite fighters. And guys like Barrera, Hatton, Morales, and De La Hoya were certainly not short on fans.
