my defensive fighter was chris byrd and winky wright.
which is weird since they absolutely schooled tua and tito.
the only olympian i ever rooted for to make it big in the pros is probably viloria.
i remember ring magazine came out with a big "top prospects" type article on him when the hawaiian punch first came out.
dude, WTF happened to US Olympic boxing?? we used to churn out champion after champion...now the talent pool is thin...i think Ward might be the last decent oneComment

[QUOTE=baracuda;6784041]no he did not...not as much as floyd and leonard's more accomplished......ali was ****y too but people loved him
Ali was not loved by everybody. That is historically inaccurate. Many people and probably most of America hated Ali at one point to the extent that he received death threats. Before he fought Jerry Quarry for his comeback unknown assailants tried to shoot him at his training camp. Ali received more hate than Mayweather. The immature hate posted on boxing boards about Mayweather is nothing and doesn't even compare to the hate Ali received. This thing about Ali being so loved by everybody when he was fighting is false.Comment

no one wants to grow up to be a boxer , man.
think about it. how many people on here were boxing fans when they were kids like we were?
the only reason kids follow boxing nowadays is if their dad is a big fan of it.
all the kids want to be basketball/football players and stuff.
pinas tignan mo. maraming magagaling sa future. lahat nang bata gusto maging boksingero. patay yung mga basa likud satin.

Instead of Mayweather Mafia, it would be Manny Mafia headed by Larry X, consiglieri Soy Dominicano, Underboss Kevin Jesus etc, etc....Comment
