Mayorga off May 21?
Several sources have indicated that Ricardo Mayorga will not be returning to HBO on May 21. Word is, Mayorga isn't training, doesn't want to go to the gym, and certainly hasn't signed any bout agreement to face Alejandro Garcia on May 21.

Well, the way I understood it, was that DKP promised a fight with Castejello for May 21 but due to an injury Javier can't fight until June/July (he was promised $600,000 for that fight). But there are other rumors that Vargas and Javier might meet in August so I am not sure what is going on.
As for training, Mayorga hasn't been in the public eye for the greater part of this year. Everything has been kept hush hush, so its any bodies guess, he made a recent trip to Miami and hasn't looked fat and outa shape ala DLH style, so its anybodies guess but he hasn't signed to fight Garcia...I think it will all pan out in the next week or so. DK and $$ run the show. -
This is a personal victory over my brother for me in a sense. Brickhouse187 claimed that even though Mayorga took a fearsome beating against Tito, that Mayorga would be back and that the assault would have no permanant effects on his career. It looks like "El Matador" has gored his last bull.Comment

Damn don't jump on the band wagon folks the first post is just a quote from someone's opinion, that doesn't mean its fact. Mayorga was offered next to nothing $$ to fight Garcia, while the offer for the Castellejo fight was $600,000 (even that seems small).
You guys act like Mayorga never has issues before his fights, theres always drama way back to the first Forrest fight....so don't beleive the hype, the man will be back. You guys forgot how much heart he showed against Tito already...yea he got his ass beat, but he should his heart and hes not gonna duck and run from anyone.Comment
