Mayweather's ability to hype a fight should also be credited. In no way am I trying to offend Pacquiao but Cotto/ Pacquiao 24/7 wouldn't have made me buy the event had I been a casual fan. The fact that Mayweather does commercials, is on CNN, SNY, Sky, BET, ESPN, Dancing With The Stars, WWE 2x goes to show that he is a hustler. Numero Uno wasn't suppose to do 1.1Mill, I was surprised at those numbers. Mayweather ability to get people to watch > Pacquiao's ability.
Dom, i respect you man, but you just said the reasons mainly why floyd's show will bomb on his next outing.

Floyd's ability to HYPE as what he did on the previous fight doesn't necessarily mean HE can FOOL AGAIN the casual fans like me! Am i right or wrong? That's all he is, floyd is only a HYPE and sadly a lot bought on it but i don't think people (casual fans) are that ****** really to buy his fights.

The fact that the 24/7 of Pac/Cotto is not as exciting as the Floyd/JMM 24/7 but still overtake its PPV buys will only confirm Pac is the draw and will always be the draw from now even if he doesn't talk english very well or an american. Another fact of that as what floyd said, Cotto was not a draw thus the reason why floyd doesn't want to fight Cotto as JMM is more a draw as a whole country is behind him and even had to extend the fight day to ensure lots of people will buy but still the arena wasn't sold out with lots of complimentary tickets.

How about the Pac/Cotto fight, tickets were sold out and they even have a shorter promotion time and less complimentary tickets to give but still Pac manage to fill up those seats while Floyd helped by Marquez can't!

By those reasoning, do you really think floyd can still HYPE the casual despite his dismal show on his last fight with JMM?

Pac doesn't need to HYPE a fight, people knows they get value for their money buying his PPV fights but with floyd, he got burned on his last hype i tell you.

I'm sure floyd's next fight will be a hard sell unless it's with Pac. In fact, i'm not even going to buy that figth if it happens.

Mayweather's hustle and ability to multi task goes into his drawing power. Remember, Numero Uno wasn't even expected to do anything close to 1M.

Man, i agree 100% with you on that i got hustled with that hype too! I was actually expecting no less than a KO with the mayweather's trash talking on 24/7. I got totally sold out buying that PPV but damn it man, I WAS RIPPED!!!

Do you really think i will get into that hype again? Yeah i may watch the fight of Pac-Floyd but that doesn't mean i will pay again!

How many casual fans do you think is thinking like me now? Don't you think it's not gonna hurt later on promising a very entertaining fight but sadly came short, very short? I for sure will not.

Mayweather has been out for a very long time now. Most people already know about his style. It's time people understand that alot of people do have an appreciation for his display of boxing. I knew Mayweather would beat Marquez by U.D, I even won 500K because of it

Pac has been headlining even before he hit mainstream with the oscar & hattonfights.

Take away that theater fake bull**** ppv afraid jr. vs marquez does less than 1 mill.

Along with the fact that when afraid jr. fought oscar & hatton it was during much much better economic time than when pac fought them in the middle of a bad recession.
The theaters weren't included in the PPV sale. There's a link going round that I can find for that. It probably would have done higher sales without the Theaters.

2 - 1# most exciting fighter in the world (you cant even argue this).

3 - Official Welterweight & junior welterweight titles (Afraid Mayweather jr has none).

4 - Better resume & legacy than Afraid Mayweather jr. (as it stands right now).

5 - Pacquiao has headlined on ppv 10x equaling 5.6 million buys (higher than Afraid Mayweather jr's 6 ppvs totaling 5,465,00).

6 - Out of those 10 ppv shows headlined by pacquiao only 2 were vs Americans. All of Afraid Mayweather jr.'s opponents were AMERICAN with exception of marquez.

7 - Pacquiao just out sold Afraid Mayweather jr. 1.25 to 1 mill in their latest ppv show.

8 - Pacquiao is the hotter commodity right now. Afraid Mayweather Jr. WAS the biggest draw & star of boxing. WAS. Pacquiao is NOW the biggest draw & star of boxing.

9 - Afraid jr. legacy wise needs Pac more than Pac needs him.

10 - Pacquiao is being accused of having a affair with a 19 year filipina actress, Afraid Mayweather jr. is accused of being a ****SEXUAL.

I mean am i being ****** or is this not worth AT THE VERY LEAST 50%?
I see you back at it again huh?

LOL. Im glad Arum is negotiating for Pac and not you. Pac would end up with a 10% share with someone like you in charge.
