    Hahaha

    That's not true

First the headclash came, and after that Sosa was out, and the knockdowns came.

Figured it was bad for Sosa. His nose was bleeding and was spitting blood after the butt. Still, I doubt the decision could be overturned. He or his corner should have complained seeing that Sosa was seriously hurt, but they didn't.

sosa was moving forward but he didnt initiate **** ... i know mayol fights with his head landing before his fists but this doesnt look accidental either ...

Be objective and review the video carefully....coz it won't lie and it ain't biased!!!

Mayol was on the act of a body punch with both foot firmly planted.....look at his head and his left fist.....do you see Mayol's head passing the angle of his left fist? ...... if the headbutt was intentional, his head would be much forward then his left fist....OK

            now.......please

Look at Sosa......"particularly his left foot"......he moved it going to Mayol and he bend his body and head slightly to protect it from the coming body blow........he was not even in the act of punching....his face made the contact to Mayol's stone head

            Accidental or not....but it's ain't intentional.....

i'm not mexican or pinoy so i consider myself quite objective ... looks like mayol intentionally drove up with his head and broke sosa's face ... rematch prob wont happen casue sosa wants to move up in weight. good win for mayol but very controversial

Mark Vester is in error in saying that the referee ruled the clash of heads as intentional on the part of Mayol which led to a point deduction. Actually, the referee ruled that it was an accidental head butt. The reason why Mayol was deducted a point is because, in accordance with the WBC rules on accidental clash of heads which results in a cut, the uncut boxer will be deducted 1 point if the fight is allowed to continue. Had Mayol been also cut, he would have also been deducted a point.
