I have come to the ultimate conclustion.....can I have a drumroll please?...Mike Tyson... is still truley the most popular fighter in boxing today. Lets be honest the reason their are always so many threads on Tyson is because he is still the fighter people want to talk about.Originally posted by Italian250Oh really? "Mike Tyson is fleetfooted", "Could Mike Tyson beat George Foreman", "Tyson vs Holyfield 3", Can Tyson win the Title again?"...<------And these threads are NOT dumb?

And this..."drumroll"...is the reason for this thread. Alas, it must just be the sad state of the game. Can be the only reason people keep hoping to once again see a dead man.Comment

I was kind of hoping the Tyson hype would have died when Lewis sealed the deal and showed he shouldnt really be fighting.....But then he had to go knock that bum Cliff out and everyone said Mike is back....Why? Because he beat a guy who holds a win over one of the many heavyweight champs at the moment...*ouch*....Then he has 1 impressive round against a 6'4 bum who held on and a clash of knees...So he gets another chance? It's cool to pay Tyson respect (ha tyson and respect in the same sentence) but to say he will ever be a threat or even a top contender would be crazy and I predict Mcbride will beat the living **** out of Tyson as well...Tyson couldnt hit **** against a tall lewis, now Lewis and Mcbride are not even in the same league but 6'6 Mcbride will hold onto Tyson for the first half and press his weight, we know Tyson wont show much lateral or foot movement to avoid that......Infact out of all of the current crop of champions, I wouldnt favor them against Tyson as well right now.
Byrd would stay on the outside and jab Tyson to death
Ruiz would be the easiest for Tyson but his holding would tire or frustrate Tyson and eventually wear him out
Lamon would stand their for 4-5 rounds and take everything Tyson had and then come back in the late rounds
Klitschko would hold and press his weight against him and back up in a robotic fashion leaving Tyson throwing uppercut in the air and would bob and land double uppercuts of his own like he did on Williams.
I wouldnt even favor Tyson over Golota.
Tito still has a chance.Comment

i was not impressed on the lewis win... he kept on pushing tyson after his power blows to knock him down... tyson was strong and took his punches like a man but the pushing down took its toll... only my opinion...Originally posted by spinksjinxI was kind of hoping the Tyson hype would have died when Lewis sealed the deal and showed he shouldnt really be fighting.....But then he had to go knock that bum Cliff out and everyone said Mike is back....Why?
