Every year sports illustrated has it's sportsman of the year. I"m sorry but pacquiao should win this. He beat the so called lineal champ at 140 then beat cotto for his welterweight title and that makes it 7 for 7. He also has rejuvinated boxing to the mainstream again. He should win but he won't cause it's all politics. watch it be brett favre lol. Pacman for sportsman of the year we should actually start a petition for this and send it to sports illustrated.

Pac had two excellent wins this year, but sportsman of the year is not only about accomplishments in a particular sport.

yeah but he does a lot for the phillapines. Who else in the sports world should win. I know hatton wasn't the lineal champ but alot of people thought he was "mainstream" The guy has brought back the buzz to boxing in the mainstream. What did tom brady do off the field when he won it ya know.

kobe, lebron, peyton manning, tiger, sidney crosby, jimmie johnson, albert pujols, etc. all take a back seat to pac this year...

Pac wont win, but it would be cool if he did. Anyone who can whip your ass and then help you back onto your feet is a great sportsman in my eyes.
