people here expect you to run in and take shots in the head when fighting people 15lbs heavier, can't blame them though because they've never boxed a bigger man and know nothing about fighting a bigger person forget boxing a bigger person defensively. All people wanna see is Floyd run in and get KO'd.

I thought Floyd Mayweather was a boxer. Even if he did run away from other boxers the whole fight, how in the world is he undefeated? If you guys want to watch thoughtless brawling, then go watch the UFC. I thought the point of boxing was to hit the other boxer and avoid being hit. Not stand toe to toe and trade blow for blow.

I think he put on a show, but if he cant KO a guy then it is what it is...what u want him to keep hitting Baldomirs stone head?
Against Baldomir Floyd was indeed injured, but he also did run at the end. So his 'running' in that fight was justified.
But he also is called a runner because of his cautious style, where he avoids any real in-fighting. It is boxing in its purest form, but it isnt fighting.
He has the skills to fight on the inside and still not get hit, but he chooses the safer option.
He isnt being a coward, he is being a smart boxer, but he is also not exciting to watch, and therefore will obviously be criticised for his tactics.
I dont think he can have it both ways.
If he won all his fights by landing one punch per round, and never getting hit, he may be the G.O.A.T. but so farin boxing history, the ATG's are all very exciting fighters to watch. With Floyd we have something new.
I must say though, the boxing media has done a great job. They say things like "he runs" and ppl take it and "run" with it! But out of this whole thread, 2 vids were shown of his fights and each fight was IN THE 12TH ROUND. In the closing minutes or seconds of a fight where he CLEARLY dominated. I asked someone in another thread to link me to vids of him "running" and got no responses.
Malignaggi's hands are **** and i've never seen him that far out of range of an opponent even though he has the speed to. Dude fought Ricky Hatton with 1 hand after breaking his right hand in the 2nd round and never ran and never went into survival mode.
Mayweather against Carlos Hernandez broke both his hands and Floyd is forced to punch with authority against these much bigger dudes. Watch the early rounda against Baldomir, Mayweather for the most part was landing hard shots...then all of a sudden he stops using the right hand. Look at Paulie for example, one-handed against Hatton, now how the hell do you beat Hatton with one hand going in? You can't can't. Your gonna have to use alot more movement. Which is what Mayweather did against Baldomir.

So it is safe to assume floyd really got fragile hands?
How many times had he broken those hand anyway, and also his ribs?
