if cotto wanted to box he should have used the straight right like a jab and save that power left hook for when manny came in.

boxing gives cotto no chance against pacquiao.

slugging it out , he has a better chance especially in the beginning.
Nope...that was slugging it out. Well at least that is what I think Cotto was doing!!!???

Cotto is a pretty decent boxer.

he was getting torn up boxing.

that's why he started to press.

          watch the 2nd round.

          that's cotto boxing.

the only time cotto did damage was when manny laid on the ropes.

you can't box someone to the ropes.

cotto should have slugged and pressured. he might have gotten knocked out sooner but it was his only chance to win.

At times, Cotto's jab was effective, but after making some small adjustments Pacquiao was was just toying with him.

DLT made an excellent thread here. A long post, but worth a read.

Everyone knows that Pac was just toying with Cotto at the end, BUT I truly believe that Cotto could have done better by boxing Pac. With that said, I think Cotto would have still lost since he would have been a lil shook at how Pac was taking his punches.

Edit: Had to edit some **** here...LOL

                    i'm telling you , d-om.

if cotto just bumrushed pac , he had a chance to win.

you see how pac reacted to just a landed jab , he got kinda stunned.

pac needed a round or two to adjust.

cotto should have gone for broke. yeah he might have gotten hattoned but who knows what would have happened if he landed a couple solid left hooks to manny's chin while he was still fresh and while manny was still trying to adjust.

I really really don't think that would have worked that night. Cotto's punches weren't doing anything at all to him. **** I don't know how his face snapped back into position after those jabs Cotto gave him in the first round.
