Kevin Johnson sounds an angry rude man.

His Jab is one of the best in the division. It's fast, accurate and sharp. It his best punch in his arsenal.

He's not a huge hitter, but as of late has been putting a few away. He is coming off a pretty impressive performance were he stopped Devin Vargas in 6. Vargas was 17-0 going into the fight, with a fine amateur pedigree, which included winning the National Golden Gloves Heavyweight Title and going to the Olympic Games in 2004. Although Vargas did take the fight on short notice.

Johnson is also a student of the game and has studied extensive footage of Muhammad Ali and Larry Holmes. Two of the best Jabbers in Heavyweight History. Which is always good to hear.

He also never had a big amateur background. Just 18 fights and never took up the sport of boxing until the age of 18. So he has learned quick and come along way.

But he has a giant challenge in front of him. Vitali Klitschko is a hard puzzle to figure out to say the least. He is extremely unorthodox, heavy handed and has a anvil chin. He would be hard fight for any Heavyweight in history.

Vitali has won 38 out of his 40 fights and the 2 losses are very questionable. One was to Southpaw Chris Byrd, were he pulled out due to a shoulder injury in the 9th round when he was miles ahead on the cards.

The other was two then Heavyweight King Lennox Lewis, were the bout was stopped on a cut in the 6th round. At the time of the stoppage Vitali led on the score cards.

37 of his 38 wins have come back KO. One of the highest KO percentages in history. He was also a world class amateur.

    Vitali Klitschko Amateur Accomplishments
-1995 Super Heavyweight Silver Medalist at the World Championships
-1995 Super Heavyweight Gold Medalist at the Military World Championships

    Vitali Klitschko's Resume Of Wins
    -Herbie Hide
    -Obed Sullivan
    -Ed Mahone (21-0)
    -Orlin Norris
    -Ross Puritty
    -Larry Donald
    -Kirk Johnson
    -Corrie Sanders
    -Samuel Peter
    -Juan Carlos Gomez
    -Chris Arreola (27-0)
Excellent post! You're a knowledgeable boxing fan.

Johnson is better than most people believe, and the fight will be more competitive than Arreola-Vitali was. However I think Kevin will either be stopped late, in the 10th to 12th rounds, or lose a decision.

Kevin is very similar to Larry Donald, a solid contender for many years who went the distance with prime Rid**** Bowe, so I believe the fight will be very much like Vitali-Donald.
