Fights that should NOT be forgotten and performances.

I am watching MAB/Prince again at the moment. This is one of those fights that when considering the legacy of a fighter like MAB, should not be forgotten. Many overshadow what B did in this fight by calling Hamed overrated. I look at MAB in this fight and see a warrior who can take Prince's best shots, didn't fight Nas' fight, fought a perfect counter/aggression style fight, embarassed Nas with skill and machismo, wouldn't be bullied and denied, defense was nice, patient and calm the entire way through. Was his best mental performance in my opinion aside from Morales III.

    hmm

    That's a good one.

Jones-Tarver I...should not be forgotten. Jones showed a lot of heart and ability to take a punch in that fight.

Taylor-Chavez...people should remember Taylor in this fight, who had a win if not for an aggregious error by Richard Steele. eople tend to only remember Taylor taking beatings and losses later in his career.

Klitschko-Lewis...Klit had him good and was winning, people seem to remember the big cut and that's it.

Trinidad-Mayorga...the granite chin and iron will and incredible heart that El Matador showed should never be forgotten. I will forever respect Mayorga for this performance.

People always slam De La Hoya (and man I used to be among the leaders), but his performance against a roided-up Vargas should not be forgotten. He was bullied and physically beat up but still fought back to get the KO, his last great victory.

The only reason Brewster has a title is because of his refusal to quit against Wlad as he was getting his face pounded over and over and getting up off the canvas. People who say he didn't win the title are correct, Wlad punched himself out, but he sure as hell deserved SOMETHING for taking that beating and still coming forward.

        Just some very recent examples...

Too bad Roy didn't retire after the first Tarver fight, then he could have walked away champion.

i agree 100% with this post.

also i think tyson vs holyfield was a fight that should not be forgotten. holyfield was not bullied or intimidated by tyson and against all odds knocked him out.

That was a courageous great fight by Holyfield. Best fight of Evander's entire career IMO. Same goes for Douglas.
